Здраво! We love Macedonia. It's been 6 weeks living in Ohrid (Охрид), the “Pearl of the Balkans”, and nobody could have prepared us for how much we would fall in love with this city. From the stunning nature, to cozy cafes, to kind hearted people, Ohrid feels like home. Most people we know who have been to North Macedonia, which is few, spend a weekend or less in this city–let alone the country. As we met other tourists in Ohrid, many stayed less than a full day! This baffles us. We could live here forever. The food is absolutely incredible, with dishes and flavors we have never experienced; nature is accessible and well preserved; and Ohrid’s history is mind blowing. We are so excited to share our experience in this town with the world, and more importantly with the people of North Macedonia.
