War Department Austerity 2-8-0 90733

WD 9257, WD 79257, NS 4464, SJ 1931 Built 1945, Vulcan Foundry, Newton-le-Willows After service with the war department the locomotive worked for Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the Dutch State Railway. In 1953 it was sold to Statens Jarnvagar – SJ, the Swedish State Railway. The locomotive was repatriated in 1973 and has ever since been based on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and carries a British Railway livery.
