Bis es nicht mehr geht - 44 2546-8

At the "Steam Meets Gravel 5" event, the Nördlingen-based locomotive 44 2546-8 was scheduled to haul an 1150-ton ballast train from Bad Salzungen to Dorndorf on October 19, 2011. Afterwards, the train was to travel from Bad Salzungen via Kaiseroda to Merkers-Kieselbach. The spur line to Merkers-Kieselbach has a considerable incline and is also located on an S-curve. There, the locomotive had significant problems with the train. The organizers then decided that this photo run was not suitable for the locomotive and ended the event. The train rolled back to Bad Salzungen.
