I Ate Giant Wood Grubs in Samoa…
Today my cousin Tau took me deep into the mountains of Samoa to gather wood grubs from a fallen tree… and yes, I actually had to eat them 😅 This was one of the strangest but most unique cultural experiences I’ve had in Samoa so far. From searching through rotting logs in the rainforest to cooking and tasting the grubs, this is everyday life and food for many people in the villages.
