How to glue hidden-tang handles.
/ donnguyenknives Hidden tangs, without a pin through the side, are ground with little notches to help adhere the blade to the handle mechanically. Gluing these are more straight forward, as long as your prep beforehand was done right. Fitup and alignment are the most difficult parts of doing a hidden tang, and they're only straight-forward when everything is done perfectly. Usually that's not the case, and it's frustrating and incredibly messy. Full-tangs ARE easier. Usually. #fulltanggang for the more simple handle construction.
