Capacitação de profissionais de enfermagem: preparo do corpo

COVID-19: Video Helps Train Nursing Professionals A series of videos, the second of which was released today, aims to train nursing professionals directly involved in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. The target audience includes nurses, students, technicians, and nursing assistants. This latest video teaches how to proceed and what care should be taken with the body after a confirmed death from COVID-19, or even under suspicion. The material was produced by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), through the Center for Health Sciences (CCS) and the Department of Nursing (DEnf). Professionals from the Giselda Trigueiro Hospital (HGT) and undergraduate and graduate students from the UFRN Nursing course also participated in the creation of the material. The video series is part of an extension activity focused on training nurses at the Giselda Trigueiro Hospital. The goal is to produce short films with clinical simulations to demonstrate nursing care procedures in situations involving patients whose health is aggravated by COVID-19. According to the project coordinator and professor at DEnf/UFRN, Ana Luísa Brandão, this material was produced in the context of the fight against COVID-19 and aims to meet a growing need for training nursing professionals to work in confronting this pandemic. She recalls that the first video in the series, released on May 21st, teaches, through a clinical simulation, how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a critically ill patient due to COVID-19. The next videos will address procedures related to medication preparation and patient management.
