In clinical practice and teaching, it is observed that bed bathing, due to its various steps, is often not performed based on scientific evidence. Studies have shown that the use of instructional videos on nursing procedures allows for knowledge retention, increases psychomotor skills, and boosts the self-confidence of those performing them. In this sense, this video, which was developed based on a literature review and validated by experts and the target audience, contributes to teaching, research, and care, and can be used by students, nursing faculty, and family members or caregivers who perform this procedure at home. It is also noteworthy that this technical production was funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and involves researchers from Portugal and the United States.
