Plas Farm Caravan Site

Here is our review of Plas Farm Caravan park Plas Yn Betws, Betws Yn Rhos, Conwy, North Wales, Abergele LL22 8AU PLEASE READ THEIR WEBSITE BEFORE TRAVELLING! There are important instructions to follow from their website for accessing the site. It is surrounded by winding, narrow country roads. In a Ford ranger you fill the roads, yet alone a 45ft fifth wheeler! The location is off the A55 from the east at Junction 22...once you come off here, it makes you panic!. Plas Farm is surrounded by country roads...not so suprising for a place called "Plas Farm" but it really does surprise us that they allow fifth wheels on site. We did follow the instructions from the website but the roads just made us really doubt the whole thing, we were terrified of getting stuck!. We had already had to back up 5 cars and three coaches on the route because we filled the road and there was no passing place. We did panic on the route, so much so we had to stop infront of some poor womans house just minding her own business enjoying the sunshine in her front garden and ask her for advice! We didnt have phone signal which didnt help. We finally got through to the campsite because this amazing woman (who name is Mary) allowed us to use her phone to make the call, and had to explain where we was because we hadnt a clue! I think the woman from Plas Farm campsite could hear we was in a mess and she got in her car to come and meet us so we could follow her into the site, bless her! Honestly though, if we didnt have both mary and the woman from Plas Farm to help, we would of never turned up some of the roads we took! There was a fair few sharp turns and we really did fill the roads, for miles! When we were parking up, the lovely ice cream man who visits daily helped us backing in, he even gave us free ice cream! From Brecon Beacons caravan site to Plas farm it took us 11.30am to 4pm! We managed to park in an hour...so by 5pm we were both dying to have a drink and something to eat, we really did appreciate our ice cream! The ice cream man comes daily and he even gave Tigerlily a free ice cream to enjoy on a hot day, she absolutely loved it and it made me so happy to see her little face loving it!. If you want to see what we get upto in our time here, follow us by subscribing to our channel. We did want to attempt Snowdon but because there is a heatwave, and it takes an average of 7 hours to hike it, we decided against it because it will be too much for little Tigerlily, so we will visit the area again when it gets cooler. People around the site, and staff are again, really helpful and friendly. Location: 3/10 (Too far out from what i wanted to do on my 'itinerary for Snowdonia', its not far in miles, but its far in time, because you cant go a decent speed around this area to get anywhere) Access: 2/10 (Its bad in the ford ranger with filling the road, i wouldnt bring a 45ft fifth wheel, even the bin men lorrys are skinnier here!) Pitch parking: 5/10 (pretty steep around the site and it is awkward to back up with our size) TV signal: None Mobile data signal: None (But you use their wifi on site, it is slow but at least theres wifi) Mobile phone signal (EE): None Peacefullness: 9/10 (Theres a few kids about) Views: 7/10 (cant really see anything from our pitches) Things to do: 4/10 (Too far out from where we wanted to go) Accessibility to Attractions: 2/10 (Roads are terrible) Dog Friendly: 10/10 (they are allowed everywhere) Dog Walks: 5/10 (Not much choice and its not really a pretty walk) Amenities: 6/10 (Toilet block and showers are fairly clean, laundry room is fairly clean, i think that the ice cream man who comes daily has made this score tbh) Cleanliness: 7/10 Friendliness: 10/10 Overall its a nice, friendly site, but i wouldnt come here again, not 5th wheel friendly. It was a scary experience to be honest!
