Basecamp 2 - The last adventure of the year

For this Basecamp adventure, we have planned a two-night trip in mid-December 2024, just before Christmas. We returned to the beautiful Plas Farm Touring Park near Abergele in Betws-yn-Rhos. From there, we hike into the Carneddau Mountain Range to discover the most remote church in Wales, which has a history that predates the medieval castles of Wales by 500 years. Despite the brisk Welsh winter, we undertake a circular walk around the Alwen Reservoir, where we’ll explore how the engineering achievements of our ancestors created a stunning forested lake of outstanding beauty.
