From the Haindlkarhütte, the hike begins anew. The Peternpfad trail presents an extremely challenging ascent, demanding a well-rounded mountaineer who is comfortable with both scree and climbing, including the Ennstaler Step technique. This video shows a very detailed alpine documentary about the hike. After exiting the trail at the Peternscharte, the long-awaited summit panorama from the Planspitze (2117m) awaits. The descent follows the Waterfall Trail (SAC T4 | Cat. A/B) via the Hesshütte down to the Kummerbrücke.
