100% Olive Oil Liquid Castile Soap Recipe. Below the first recipe is an option to make this with only water, no vegetable glycerin. Olive Oil Virgin or Extra Virgin is fine- 500g (17.5 oz) Distilled Water- 268 g (9.5 oz) Vegetable Glycerin 114 g ( 4 oz) KOH 90 % Potassium Hydroxide- 132 g (4.5 oz) Buy KOH here: https://amzn.to/4tTcvj9 Heat the olive oil in a crockpot to around 165 degrees F Mix the water and KOH Using an immersion blender mix the lye water into the olive oil. When thoroughly mixed add in the vegetable glycerin. Mix until applesauce and then pudding consistency. Cook and stir occasionally for around 2 hours. Soap paste is done when it is glossy and translucent. It needs to pass the clarity test. Dilute with 3 parts distilled water. ***If you do not wish to use vegetable glycerin, you simply use 382 g or 13.5 oz distilled water total.
