The Renault Symbioz is a compact crossover and, according to Renault, is a symbiosis of a coupe and a crossover. Whether you agree or not, one thing is certain: the Symbioz is a real eye-catcher. Propulsion is provided by either a 103 kW (140 hp) mild hybrid or the new 116 kW (158 hp) full hybrid powertrain. Renault estimates the fuel consumption of the new drivetrain at just 4.5 l/100 km – but what about normal driving on public roads? My test car, a Renault Symbioz E-Tech 160 with the new full hybrid drivetrain in the "Iconic" trim, offers a modern interior, including the "Solarbay" dimmable panoramic glass roof, and sufficient space for its class.
