We're testing the smallest amplifier in the Acus Oneforstreet series. Compact, lightweight, and with a tonal reproduction that perfectly matches the timbre of the instrument we're playing. The renowned Recanati-based brand has long accustomed us to top-quality products, and this little amplifier doesn't disappoint. I was particularly impressed by the accuracy of the harmonic reproduction, the overall volume, and the performance of the most complex frequencies for such a small amplifier. The 5-inch woofer and dome tweeter spare no frequencies and don't abandon us in the most dangerous low-frequency areas. There's no shortage of a larger speaker, and the amp is responsive and quick to respond to the dynamics we apply to our instrument. It's also excellent with vocals and other stringed instruments with piezo or condenser pickups! Another important feature of this amp is the ability to power it either with a power cord (included) or with external batteries (we recommend a Makita 18V 3 or 5 amp). Acus doesn't provide batteries, so if you want to run it with this solution, you'll need a power supply and batteries. It offers 7 hours of battery life and, compared to the previous model with a built-in battery, weighs only 7 kg. Also included is the Artesia BT-1 Bluetooth antenna and an Artesia LS-1 adapter cable for connecting the amp to a computer, tablet, or cell phone. A convenient, custom-made carrying bag is available as an optional accessory. In this brief presentation, we used both an acoustic and a nylon-string guitar to demonstrate the excellent performance with both instruments. Please remember that the audio in our videos is never processed, with the aim of rendering the sounds and their differences as naturally and beautifully as possible.
