Echinoderms are animals characterized by fivefold symmetry (clearly visible in starfish, for example) and the presence of a skeleton made of single-crystal calcite plates. This video focuses on the morphological characteristics of echinoderm skeletons, and more specifically on those of sea urchins and crinoids.
