Episode 10 - Glyder Fach, Glyder Fawr, Y Gribbin // Wales - Nuttalls - Mountains - Glyders Range

In this Episode I returned to the Glyders to do a walk I have done many times before. What I really wanted was to get some great footage of the scramble up Y Gribbin, but sadly there was too much wind to get the drone up, and so I had to rely on my action camera. Starting out in the dark, I was quickly up to Llyn Bochlywd and then up Y Gribbin as the sun rose above Tryfan. The rock was wet and the wind blustery, so reaching the top of Glyder Fach with all those huge sloping slabs of rock felt perilous. Glyder Fawr on the other hand was relatively straightforward in comparison. The views across to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and Crib Goch were beautiful. By the time I came to descend down Twll Du (or Devil’s Kitchen) it was really busy, but by then I had managed to get enough good footage to put this Episode together. I hope you enjoy it. About Rudolph’s Mountains Welcome to the Rudolph’s Mountains channel, which records my journey to visit all the mountains in England and Wales over 2000ft, known as The Nuttalls. They were named after John & Anne Nuttall, who researched and created the initial list of tops, and published quite excellent books on how you could visit them all. I don’t always follow their routes, as I prefer to research the route myself, but I always use their route as a starting point. I have been making movies of my days in the mountains for a couple of years now, initially just to share my adventures with friends and family. I can’t get out all the time, due to family and work commitments, so it’s going to take many years to get through them all, health permitting. Each Episode is edited down from the original movie to around 30 minutes or less and then released on a Saturday at 12 noon. There won’t be a movie every week though. Each Episode has subtitles, as even I can’t understand what I’m saying half of the time! If you are planning to venture out on the hills yourself, please make sure you research your route and that you are properly prepared. Always check the mountain weather and ground condition forecast, but don’t trust it! Mountain weather can be unpredictable, so prepare for the worst. Enjoy the mountains, but always take care so that you return home safely.
