Champion Marbles Identifications With Jack Hahn
In this video we visit with glassmaker and glassworker Jack Hahn who spent many a day and night at the Champion Agate marble factory making marbles in Pennsboro, West Virginia from 1980 to 1991 ! Jack walks us through his Champion collection with marbles he either helped produce, or obtained from the Champion facilities throughout his time there. We are joined by the consumate professional David Tamulevich, as we set up Champion Agates from Jack’s endless marble vault, and identify and describe them. We take a close look at nicknamed examples of “Backlash”, “Puzzle or Whirlpool/Wirepull” marbles, “New Old Fashioned”, “Brains”, “Cardinal” marbles - and many more. Some close attention is given to typical patterns, colors and traits of the Champion marbles line to help you in identifying your own West Virginia Swirls. Jack sets up the way-back machine and tells us his marble-making stories from four decades ago. Visit Jack at marbleman.com to see what marbles and marble related items he has for sale!
