My Camper Van Water System Is a Pain in the Ass (And I Like It)

In this video, I show you my very simple off-grid water system in my camper van. Unlike many van builds, I haven't installed underslung tanks, electric pumps, water gauges or even a sink. Instead, I use a hand pump tap, a 23-litre jerry can for fresh water, a separate container for grey water, and a copper bowl for washing up. It's not the most convenient setup, and refilling the water tank takes a bit of time and effort. But that's also part of why I like it. Living this way makes me much more conscious of how much water I use and encourages me to slow down rather than rush through everything. In a world that often values convenience above all else, I'm increasingly interested in simple systems that work well enough and help me live more intentionally. I'd love to hear about your own camper van water setup. Do you prefer keeping things simple, or do you favour a more complex system?
