Mega Man 7 - Slash Man's Stage

Well now, cannot put this one off any longer. Time for Slash Man's stage... and while the stage itself really is not so bad, it is the boss that makes this one truly infamous. The stage itself has some tricky obstacles, such as the Mario 2 style logs on the waterfalls, and the T-Rex mini-boss, but it is not all that long and has no threatening regular enemies. Just remember Proto Man's advice from Cloud Man's stage and put it to use! Slash Man himself is very much a problem, though. While his actual attacks are nothing special, he does do one thing that results in basically all of his difficulty. He often goes up top to drop eggs that make some sort of red goo, and if you get hit by one, you cannot attack, jump, or slide for a significant period of time until you shake it off. Even if you do not get hit by them, the goo spreads onto the floor for awhile and if you step in it, you cannot even move for a bit! These things drop purely at random, so there is no one safe spot to stand. Mix this in with Slash Man being all too happy to dive-bomb you afterward, and you get quite a pain of a fight. Enjoy!~
