🚙 Reaching the end of the Alaska Highway and camping at Eielson AFB!

Day 17 of our epic Alaska road trip takes us from Tok, Alaska, to Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks as we continue our journey along the legendary Alaska Highway! Before hitting the road, we discovered an incredible local coffee trailer next to a gift shop in Tok—a hidden gem that’s well worth the stop for anyone traveling through Alaska. Although the weather stayed overcast all day, we made an important stop at Delta Junction, home of the famous End of the Alaska Highway marker. After more than 1,400 miles on one of the world’s most iconic highways, reaching the official end of the Alaska Highway was a milestone we won’t forget. We wrapped up the day at Bear Creek Campground on Eielson Air Force Base, getting settled before exploring more of Alaska’s incredible Interior. We ventured out to North Pole Alaska, (yes that’s a real place) for dinner and had to stop at Santa Claus House, you can’t miss it. Our dinner at Little Richard’s Dinner hit the spot so we decided to call it a day.
