How To Apply IOD Transfers on Duck Canvas Fabric

In this tutorial, our lovely IOD Artisan Lisa Lorincz is sharing a delicious mixed media spring project. Lisa starts by casting the new Wreath & Swags Mould in black resin, then builds a beautiful, dimensional foundation on a primed duck canvas by adding torn canvas layers for extra character. From there, she uses the Madeleine Transfer and begins layering paint—think sandy blonde with custom black and charcoal gray—to create depth and that perfectly vintage sophisticated look. You’ll also see Lisa use heavy body gel to mount her elements, gently wipe back paint to reveal the design underneath, and finish it all with touches of gold metallic and a black glaze that settles into the details like vintage patina.
