Amistades feministas: vivir, reivindicar y disfrutar juntas

Feminist Friendships: Living, Advocating, and Enjoying Together UNED on La 2 of TVE Series: Women's Rights and Gender Equality Recording Date: April 9, 2026 The transformation of social and gender relations, and the changes in forms of cohabitation and in the bonds traditionally associated with love, couples, and family, have contributed in recent years to making friendship a highly topical issue. Friendship is increasingly present both in the world of communication and fiction, as well as in the field of feminist and LGBTIQ+ politics and social science research. “Feminist Friendships: Living, Advocating, and Enjoying Together” stems from a collaborative research project carried out from an anthropological perspective, aimed at analyzing social practices that are contributing to redefining and even overcoming classical notions of gender, kinship, sexuality, affection, and mutual support. Of all the cases studied, this documentary presents three examples that highlight the importance of friendship among feminists in confronting social conflicts such as those surrounding the parades in Irun and Hondarribia (Gipuzkoa), in establishing networks among women in rural areas (Montaña Alavesa), and in developing alternative lifestyles that tend to build fairer models of coexistence and relationships, where the personal and the political converge once again.
