New Rider Tries Motocamping... Again | Moto Camping in a Primitive Campground

I decided to try motocamping again… but this time a little differently. I took up motorcycle riding - with no experience - at the age of 54. Mostly because I thought motorcycle camping looked like fun. My first year as a rider, I tried a motocamping trip in a busy state park and didn't love it. So for this trip I headed to Newaygo State Park in Michigan - primitive campground with no flush toilets or running water. In this video, I ride out to the campground (with a little wind, a little rain, and my first dirt road thrown in), get set up, and walk through exactly what I packed and how I carried it all on the bike. This is part 1 of my stay there - watch the video to see how it went. 0:00 Trying motorcycle camping...again 0:29 Motorcycle ride to campground 2:36 It's raining! 4:49 First dirt road 5:27 Campground check in 6:40 My campsite 07:08 Moto camping gear 09:38 Camp set up 10:41 Campsite tour 12:25 Campground walk 13:05 Attempting a S'more
