The 1847 Colt Walker: The Texas Behemoth put to the test
In today’s video I will be going over another iconic revolver, the 1847 Colt Walker. In today’s test, I will be going over the overall performance and accuracy of this early style revolver. In most of this test, I will be firing the revolver offhand at a variety of different ranges. Firing at steel targets to visualize the energy transfer of the round ball. Even testing the FPS in a chronograph machine. Each chamber of this revolver will be loaded with 50grs of GOEX black powder, a lubricated felt wad, a .454 roundball, and capped with Remmington #10 caps. I do not claim to be an expert just a black powder enthusiast who enjoys his hobby. Let’s see how this old style revolver performs in today’s time. This video is for educational, entertainment, and historical purposes only.
