TEMA 38. PIRIDINA | 38.2. REACCIONES DE ALQUILACIÓN, ACILACIÓN Y FORMACIÓN DE N-ÓXIDOS

Pyridine reacts with haloalkanes through the lone pair of carbon atoms on the nitrogen atom, becoming alkylated. With acid halides or anhydrides, it undergoes acylation, and in the presence of oxidizing agents, it forms pyridine N-oxides.
