Introducing the Charities SORP 2026
We recently announced the publication of the new Charities Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities (‘the SORP’). This new accounting framework will ensure charities’ financial reporting requirements are more proportionate to their size. Charities preparing their annual report and accounts in line with the SORP, and their advisors, will need to ensure they are familiar with what is different in the SORP and understand the practical implications for the accounts they will prepare in the future. To help you understand the changes, we hosted a webinar with SORP experts, including a Q&A.
