Tonight I’m in Ambleside, at a restaurant that’s been creating a real buzz — The Schelly. Opened in 2024 by the Blackburn brothers, the same team behind the Michelin-starred Old Stamp House, The Schelly has already been recognised by the Michelin Guide with a Bib Gourmand — the award for outstanding food at great value. This spot promises relaxed fine dining built around Cumbrian ingredients — dishes inspired by the Lakes, the Fells and the Coast.
