The battery holding system in the Pössl is exemplary. Perfectly prepared for easy retrofitting of a second auxiliary battery under the passenger seat. The cable lengths are also more than sufficient for correct connection. This isn't an installation guide; I'm just showing you how I did it. You should only work on the electrical system if you know exactly what you're doing. I'll show you in the video what you should pay attention to when connecting to ensure the batteries last a long time and that one of them doesn't age prematurely. In principle, you can also use this procedure for retrofitting a second AGM battery. The following applies to all retrofitted batteries: Use batteries of the same age, if possible. Different models with the same capacity can have different internal resistances, causing one of the two batteries to age prematurely and thus affect the entire system. The same applies to the age of the batteries. However, with LiFePo4, the manufacturer states that a second battery can be retrofitted up to approximately the 400th charging cycle. Another advantage of LiFePo4: If one battery fails due to a defect, the other simply continues to operate. Each battery has its own independent battery management system.
