Hollywood Hates Faith, Christians, and Jesus Christ

Taking shots at Christianity is not a new thing; it’s been happening for over 2000 years. But through the lens of the Hollywood media system, if you’re to look at it through a clinical or more academic lens (which is what I'm going to attempt to do for this discussion), it’s interesting to study because there are clear patterns. And those patterns usually render down to the writer, director, producer, and/or creatives involved having a bone to pick with Christianity for one reason or another. Open up any streaming app, any theater listing, any given month of any given year, and you will find something releasing that attacks, antagonizes, hijacks, interrogates, or just flat-out steals from Christianity. Every genre. Horror, sci-fi, action, prestige drama, the kids' stuff. It is constant. And once you start noticing it, like, sometimes it’s subtle and other times it's very loud, you can’t un-notice it. Media are used to challenge Christianity, but to do that, they must target different aspects of Christianity to be most effective. Disclosure Day is only swinging at one of those targets. Whereas other movies might swing at one or two different targets. I believe there are three. • • • Join us for the Southeast Game Exchange!
