58023 Preservation Debut | Severn Valley Railway - Autumn Diesel Bash 2024

From Thursday 3rd October - Sunday 6th October 2024, the Severn Valley Railway held their annual Autumn Diesel Bash event. The event saw both full line passenger trains and local services running throughout the weekend, the event had operational home fleet members in service headlined by 4 guests. The guest locomotives for this years event were Class 25s D7628 Sybilla from North Yorkshire Moors Railway, a rare visit for this loco and 25262 from South Devon Railway. They were joined by a GWR HST Castle set and the star attraction, Class 58 58023 Leicester Depot which was making its preservation debut and first passenger services hauled by a Class 58 in the UK since 2002! We attended on both the Saturday and did some filming on the Sunday, filming locations were around Eardington, Hay Bridge and Highley. Weather was pretty good on both days, though I do apologize for some wind noises, this couldn't be helped. Locomotives featured: BR Class 52 no.
