Welcome to MMM 'Minic Motorway Makeover'! This car was donated by an unknown contributer. It is an unusual type of model car as it has a small electric engine in it. It is one of the 'Triang Minic Motorway' range of electric cars which were intended, by Triang, to be used as 'eye candy' for Triang (now Hornby) model train enthusiasts who wanted moving cars on their large and detailed 'double 'O' scale train set displays. I tried my best and repaired the motor, but without being able to obtain a genuine piece of Minic road track, I was unable to make it run. Nevertheless, it makes for an interesting episode that showcases a seldom seen part of toy car history.
