Bluthner Semi Concert Grand Piano - Bluthner Piano 1900
http://livingpianos.com/pianos/bluthn... / livingpianos One of the great German pianos, the Bluthner sound is often regarded in a league of its own. The Bluthner family has been in control of the company for centuries. There are many innovations including their patented Aliquot stringing. It features a 4th string in the treble register which isn't struck by the hammer but sympathetically vibrates offering a rich, singing tone. This piano is an historic period instrument beautifully restored with the original soundboard. The real, original key tops are the the natural type in remarkable condition, not the plastic kind found on modern pianos. The tone is very gentle, not in any way overwhelming even for a small space. The action is very light and responsive which is typical of instruments from this period. The piano was rebuilt, refinished, restrung and looks like new inside and out.
