The Lost Sound - a documentary about the fortepiano
We witness the discovery of an extremely rare 1826 Viennese Nanette Streicher fortepiano. We follow restorer/collector Edwin Beunk en route with his instruments for concerts and recordings. Contributions by: Alexander Melnikov, Kristian Bezuidenhout, Andreas Staier, Robert Levin, Ronald Brautigam, Frans Brüggen, Riko Fukuda, Yulianna Avdeeva. We also hear the Orchestra of the 18th.
