SJM: Policía continúa detenido tras matar a conductor

A minibus driver died after being shot by a police officer during a traffic stop in San Juan de Miraflores. After the initial impact, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a motorcycle and a car. According to the police report, the driver allegedly ran a red light and, during the stop, attempted to drive away. The officer fired, believing the minibus was trying to run him over. Following the accident, the driver was assisted and taken to María Auxiliadora Hospital, where his death was confirmed. The minibus was carrying four or five passengers, none of whom were injured. The deceased's partner and some passengers offered a different account of what happened. The case is under investigation, and authorities will analyze witness statements and security camera footage to clarify the facts.
