According to his analysis, for Moscow, the European Union is not yet a true strategic interlocutor: Russia looks primarily to Donald Trump, while considering Brussels divided and too closely aligned with Kiev. Giordani emphasizes, however, that following the reduction in US aid, the EU has become Ukraine's main support. Regarding Ukrainian drones targeting Moscow, he explains that the war has changed: swarms of drones make Russian defense difficult, even with a high number of interceptions. He warns, however, that these attacks do not automatically lead to peace and could provoke "further escalation." Starlink, described as the "nervous system" of Ukrainian forces, also plays a central role: a private satellite network has now become a strategic player in the conflict. Regarding Crimea, Giordani states that Kiev aims to transform it "from a peninsula into an island," cutting it off from supplies, but he believes it unlikely that Vladimir Putin will abandon this plan. Finally, regarding tensions between Poland and Ukraine, Giordani observes that the historical issue weighs less heavily than aid, refugees, and Kiev's possible accession to the EU, which could have significant effects on agricultural subsidies.
