Oil has lost ground compared to last week, when it was trading "10-12 dollars higher," as war fears have eased with the prospect of a "de facto peace." However, a war premium of around $10 remains, and the reopening of flows will not be immediate: shipowners require guarantees on vessel safety, given the enormous economic risks. If normalization occurs, WTI could return to $60-65 and Brent around $68. Regarding gold, Vallotto points to a downward break in the 200-period moving average: to revive the bullish scenario, a recovery of $4,500 would be necessary. Key support is indicated at $4,080, while the first resistance is at $4,240. The strong dollar, a more hawkish-than-expected Fed, and the shift of some retail customers toward US Treasuries at 4.8% are weighing on the market. Central banks, however, continue to support demand. Also watch out for silver and copper, both in significant deficits and supported by industrial demand. Copper, tied to artificial intelligence servers, remains expensive but strategic. Vallotto believes these two metals could offer "interesting performance" for the remainder of 2026.
