Fishing had been dormant for a while, but finally woke up in late March. Recently, Kumasaka Chinu-ya has been hoping for at least one big black sea bream, and while we've caught a few 59cm and 58cm ones, the sea conditions haven't been stable, so it hasn't been a huge success. Amidst all this, at the successful Ume-chan spot, we managed to catch two black sea bream on the first day! Here's a description of the day's events: From morning, there were constant attacks from mullet on the bait balls. There were bites on the bait balls, but as soon as they broke apart, it was a pufferfish. What's more, they were troublesome fish that would eat any bait, whether it was in the middle layer or at the bottom. The previous day, black sea bream were being caught right before the end of fishing, so I focused on the evening again today. It was the evening as predicted, but the fish bit as soon as the bait ball broke apart. At first, I thought it was a mullet. For the second one, there were no pufferfish bites, and after about 20 seconds, I got a bite from a black sea bream. It was a clear pattern: when the black sea bream came in, the pufferfish scattered. However, it didn't last that long, and after catching two, it was another pufferfish.
