Langleeford to Auchope Cairn & Cheviot summit
Saturday I hiked my local hills. Parking in Harthope Valley off the A697 south of Wooler. The car park is at the top end of the road before the no vehicle access sign. This is as far as you’re permitted to drive up the valley. This 14 mile walk takes you up adjacent to harthope burn to Scotsman Knowe. It’s a boggy route so waterproof boots and gaiters are advised all year round. One of my favorite hikes in these hills. My home If in doubt just get out 💗🥾
