This food documentary follows a walk through Lukang Old Street, one of Taiwan’s most historic districts, where traditional street food and handmade crafts are still part of everyday life. Starting with freshly made Taiwanese mai-jian-gao, a traditional brown sugar pancake, the journey continues through handmade oyster crepes, traditional iced black tea, sugar-blowing craftsmanship, scallion egg pancakes, and Japanese-style wagashi. The film also visits a traditional Taiwanese oyster omelet shop connected to the oyster-growing culture of Wanggong Fishing Harbor, where local oysters have been part of the region’s food tradition for generations. Filmed in Changhua, Taiwan, this is a quiet look at traditional Taiwanese street food, old-town craftsmanship, local ingredients, and the everyday culture preserved in the streets of Lukang.
