🚴 Sheep River Valley by Bike | Highway 546 (Turner Valley) to Bluerock

Early May in the Alberta foothills, riding Highway 546 from Turner Valley up to the Bluerock day-use area and back. The catch: the stretch west of Sandy McNabb is still gated for the winter closure — which means kilometres of empty pavement with zero traffic and the whole valley to myself. 🏔️ Snow still on the peaks ☁️ Grey spring skies, barely any wind 🛣️ A highway built for cars, ridden without a single one 🌲 Foothills, aspen, and the Sheep River the whole way up 📍 Route: Turner Valley → Hwy 546 → Sandy McNabb → Bluerock → back 📏 77.5 km out-and-back ⛰️ 900+ m elevation gain 🚧 Gated section closed to vehicles until mid-May
