Morgan Quero asegura que Fenatep busca recuperar su reconocimiento sindical

Former Education Minister Morgan Quero asserted that the recent meeting between representatives of the National Federation of Education Workers of Peru (Fenatep) and Education Minister Jorge Alfonso Marticorena was an attempt by the union to regain its official recognition. Speaking on the program "Esta Noche" with Milagros Leiva, he maintained that the main objective of the meeting was to re-register the union. Quero affirmed that Fenatep continues to be linked to the Movement for Amnesty and Fundamental Rights (Movadef), an organization identified as the political arm of Shining Path. In this regard, he expressed concern about the rapprochement between the union and the Ministry of Education, believing that such meetings could further the organization's ambitions. "Fenatep is seeking recognition as a union," he stated. During the interview, the former minister also questioned the position of former Minister Jorge Nieto, whom he accused of attempting to assume a leadership role as a defender of former President Pedro Castillo, calling him a "third-hat" figure. According to Quero, this stance is an attempt to position themselves politically around the figure of the former president.
