How to Get the Recognition of Foreign Vocational Training Qualification for German Job Search Visa

Recognition of foreign qualification in Germany is major requirement for obtaining German job search visa. Holders of vocational training qualification can apply for the recognition of their qualification. It is possible for the international applicants to apply for the recognition of their qualifications while they are in their home country. The usual time for the process of application is up to 3 months. Foreign applicants have to pay a fee of 100 to 600 Euros for the recognition of vocational training qualification. There is no central authority for the recognition of vocational training qualification in Germany. Applicants have to send the application to the respective state, in which applicant would like to work after arrival in Germany. Therefore, it is important for the foreign applicants to know in advance, where they would like to work in Germany, after their foreign qualification has been recognized and they have received their job search visa for Germany. Partially Recognized: If there are significant differences between content and competences of foreign qualification and the reference German qualification a partial recognition is issued. No Recognition: If the differences between the foreign and the German professional qualification are too big, the qualification may not be recognized and application may be rejected.
