This time we headed up north to Canada! Banff is one of my favorite places to hike and enjoy nature, so I was very excited to show my dad around. We spent 3 days in Banff National Park, and these are the highlights. We hiked the Circuit trail from Lake Louise to Lake Agnes, to Big Beehive, To the Plain of Six Glaciers, and back to Lake Louise. This is a pretty moderate/difficult hike, but the views are absolutely stunning! We spent some time exploring Banff town, including Bow falls and Cascade of Time Garden, as well as checking out Banff Springs Fairmont. For our 3rd day, we headed to the iconic Lake Moraine! This is only accessible by shuttle now, so book early and plan ahead. We hiked the Larch Valley and Sentinel pass trail from here. This is a must-do in the fall, when the larches are changing to a vibrant yellow. I’ve visited Banff now during the summer, winter, and fall, and I have to say that the fall is my favorite time of year! The mountains are beginning to get some snow while the trees in the lower elevations are changing colors. It’s not too crowded either.
