How To Service A Heiniger Saphir Clipper

This video demonstrates a step-by-step guide on how to correctly service your Heiniger Saphir. We’ll cover servicing your Saphir, checking the blade support and changing the turning lever. STEPS Remove the battery from your Saphir. Remove all 9 screws from the top side cover. Remove the blade support by pushing the red lever forwards and assist with a screwdriver if necessary. Remove the top side cover. Remove the rubber flap. Remove the old turning lever and seal. Lastly, remove the eccentric wheel by popping off the locking washer. Now you can begin greasing and refitting the components. Firstly, turn the eccentric wheel over and apply grease to the bottom side, ensuring you get plenty in the shaft. Once it is adequately greased, slide it back on. Wipe the excess grease around the top side of the eccentric wheel, then refit both the washer and most importantly, the locking washer Ensure the eccentric wheel has been correctly fitted by gently moving it up and down, there should be no play. Next, grease and fit the new turning lever. Apply grease to the top of the turning lever once fitted. Refit the rubber flap by carefully aligning the holes on either end. Refit the top cover and reattach all screws. Finally, refit the blade support and blade interlock. There you have it, your Saphir is now properly serviced!
