Moalboal: This beautiful coastal town is famous for its world-class scuba diving, incredible marine life, and picturesque beaches. Moalboal is especially renowned for the mesmerizing sardine run - a breathtaking natural spectacle where millions of sardines swim in perfect synchrony. The best time to witness this magical event is early morning when the waters are calmer and the crowds are fewer. Be sure to avoid the rainy and typhoon seasons for the best experience. Our e-visa was approved in 2-3 days, but processing time may vary. We recommend applying for the visa well in advance to avoid any delays. We submitted our application 45 days before our trip. The e-visa is valid 90 days from the date you receive it, not the travel date. The length of stay permitted was 30 days during this 90-day validity. How to Reach: 1. Fly directly to Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Cebu. You can also visit Cebu via another international airport like Manila. 2. In Mactan-Cebu International Airport, you can hire a taxi or cab to Moalboal. We didn’t explore the public transport options for this journey. Accommodation: There are plenty of options for hotels, resorts, and homestays in both Cebu and Moalboal. We stayed at Marina Village Dive Resort in Moalboal, which offers complimentary breakfast. We booked it through Agoda, where we received good discounts. The food was good, and the service was too. Overall, it was a good place to stay.
