Norma 21 de las NMPNA: Seguridad alimentaria y Protección de la niñez

The importance of collaboration between child and adolescent protection and food security cannot be underestimated. For example, jointly planned programs in the same locations can mitigate the impact of food insecurity on child protection. This type of collaboration works both ways. It is essential to develop referral mechanisms and train food security actors in identifying and subsequently referring child protection cases. On the other hand, child protection actors are well-positioned to observe and refer children and families who are struggling to feed themselves. This video is part of a series exploring the Minimum Standards for Child and Adolescent Protection in Humanitarian Action (MSCAP), which are key standards for all humanitarian workers in our efforts to fulfill our obligations to children. In this video, we explore Standard 21: Food Security and Child and Adolescent Protection. This standard describes a systematic and integrated approach between the Food Security and Child Protection sectors based on coordination and complementarity.
