Wild Bill Expected to Die in Deadwood
Presenting Gary Midd as the voice of "Wild Bill" https://www.fiverr.com/garymidd Wild Bill Hickok's death in Deadwood at the hands of Jack McCall is one of the most famous events of the wild west. What if I were to tell you that he knew that he would die in Deadwood? From eye-witness reports, and two contemporary sources, it seems that Hickok was expecting Deadwood to be his last frontier town. Why was he expecting to die? Two reasons-a constant fear of ambush, and failing eyesight. There is also evidence that he knew he would die from someone shooting him from behind-this was probably learned from his experience with two drunk soldiers in Hays City.
