Ruta CERRO PIONONO EXTREMO vía Alto de Buenos Aires.

Today was a special ride, a birthday ride with my mountain bike brothers, on a route I'd wanted to do for over a year: climb Pionono from Tocancipá and see the Alto de Buenos Aires. We started with Buenos Aires, which is a tough climb. I think it's harder than Yerbabuena but not as difficult as Potosí. I had to check it out, and it was. Once you reach the top of Buenos Aires, the remaining segment to Pionono becomes more bearable. The best of all: the celebration, the scenery, and the descent—what a descent! A dizzying descent with treacherous terrain that allows for a lot of speed, but the slightest mistake with the brakes can send you to the dogs! It couldn't have ended better (except for Camilo from Life Seeker): a rough dirt track, a festival of mud, puddles, water, and laughter. Camilo's fall was crazy; I still remember it and it makes me laugh. I hope you enjoy this video and are encouraged to try this route; it's a marvelous MTB ride. See you on the route, Riders!
