3 Ace Frehley Licks From 1977
Here's the next Three-For-All lesson with 3 Ace Frehley Licks From 1977. I've had a number of requests for Ace Frehley from viewers and when I woke up today to prepare a new lesson for the channel, this was what I was feeling and actually wanted to create, so I just went with it. Truth be told, I love Ace Frehley. I'm sure that statement may confuse a few of my friends and viewers out there, but it's the truth. He's a humble human being that found himself in an extraordinary circumstance after he joined KISS and they basically dominated the rock music scene in the 1970s. While there were plenty of other acts on the scene that could play circles around them, there's just something magical and interesting about the classic KISS era and I feel Ace Frehley was a HUGE part of that (or at least for me). This lesson features a number of expressive and signature moves from Ace and should be a great starting point (or continuation) for those searching for those gritty and rough-around-the-edges blues-rock ideas that so many guitarists have played over the decades within the classic rock genre. From accented and precise string bending phrases, to "hybrid" pentatonic scale usage, open-string pull-off licks, and much more. There's plenty in this lesson to keep you occupied and if locating some of the "mess-and-finesse" licks and phrases is something you're wanting to add to your playing style and "bag of tricks" - look no further than borrowing some of those ideas from Ace. This episode also includes a few jokes and silly moments thrown-in, which I felt everyone could use a good laugh (especially these days), so you'll hopefully see through some of the shtick and actually lock-in to some of the useful concepts, phrases, and ideas shared in this lesson.
