First Look: New Wheels & Tires on the 1967 Mustang Fastback Project!

It's an exciting day for us at Classic Nation! Today, we mocked up the wheel and tire combination for the 1967 Mustang Project, and set the car down on it's own suspension for the first time in about 3 years! The wheels are American Racing VN427 wheels, satin black with polished spinners. They are 17" x 9.5" in all four corners. Backspacing on the front is 6.5", and the rear backspacing is 5.75". The tires are @toyotires Proxes Tires, R888R, 275/40r17 in all four corners. The engine is an all aluminum 427 Stroker, with @borla Stack injection, mated to a Tremec Magnum 6 speed manual transmission. Suspension is a full ‪@StreetorTrackLLC‬ setup, with coilovers and big billet spindles in the front, with a new full floater 9" rear end out back with a 3 link Watts link. The paint is a custom color, based on a Porsche Jet Black Metallic, but instead of blue and violet metal flakes, we're replaced them with a green mica flake, a subtle nod to the green color the car was when we first got it. #mustang #restomod #musclecar
