DROIT EUROPÉEN DE LA CONCURRENCE 🔤

The European Union has been, since its foundation, an economic union, establishing a common internal market among the Member States. According to Article 3 of the TEU, the Union "shall strive for the sustainable development of Europe based on balanced economic growth and price stability, a highly competitive social market economy." To maintain this highly competitive social market economy, healthy competition (=absence of monopolies) between companies has beneficial effects for businesses, which can enter the market more easily, and for consumers, as competition helps lower prices. In view of the EU's objective of establishing a single internal market, harmonization of competition law among Member States allows for greater economic integration across the Community. These competition law rules therefore apply in situations with a Community dimension, particularly when there is a distortion or risk of distortion of competition between Member States or involving several Member States. In this video, we will examine why European competition law exists, its sources, the four branches of EU competition law, and the concepts shared between the four branches. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ BIBLIOGRAPHY ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ N.
